. . . is a private non-profit that works to assist people with disabilities be more independent through the use of technology. There are more than 96,000 people in Kern County who are disabled. KATC has established an equipment loan program with hundreds of pieces of equipment available to the public to try before they buy. KATC has several services offered to clients. These include: Information and referrals, loan library, consultation/assessment, training on AT devices, and the IDA program. We specialize in three divisions, AT for Home, AT for Work & AT for School.
